<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication component wherein the optical axis on an optical communication element side is accurately aligned to the optical axis on an optical fiber side. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication component includes: an optical transceiver 20 in which a projecting part 27 is projected to a base part 26, and which has a condensing lens 10 on the upper end of the projecting part 27; and a connector housing 2 having an optical transceiver fixing wall 7 on which the optical transceiver 20 is fixed, and an optical fiber positioning part 6 protrusively formed around the projecting part 27 so as to position the inserted optical fiber.
