<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage discharge lamp lighting device enabling to remove ripple components from a lamp current so that the power spectrum of harmful high frequency bands is 1.5% or less of the whole power spectrum of the lamp current. <P>SOLUTION: Between an inverter circuit 18 and a high voltage application circuit 22 for generating a starting high voltage, a ripple removing circuit 20 is arranged for removing the ripple components from the lamp current. The ripple removing circuit 20 includes a band rejection filter 40, and has a first removing circuit 42 and a second removing circuit 44 connected in series to each other between a first input terminal 30 and a second input terminal 32. Output terminals 34, 36 exist at both ends of the second removing circuit 44. The first removing circuit 42 is a parallel circuit between a coil L3 and a capacitor C5 for preventing the passage of the ripple components of resonance frequency bands. The second removing circuit 44 is a series circuit between a coil L4 and a capacitor C6 for bypassing the ripple components of resonance frequency bands. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
