PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump capable of preventing vibration and noise in operation, while attaining high pump efficiency, without excessively requiring dimensional accuracy and installation accuracy. SOLUTION: In this vane pump, a guide cover 15 is integrally arranged on both end surfaces in the rotary shaft direction of a rotor 3. This guide cover 15 blocks up an opening in the rotary shaft direction of respective vane grooves 9, and slidingly contacts with a vane 4 arranged in the vane grooves 9. A communicating space 12 communicating with respective operation chambers 5 is formed between the guide cover 15 and an inner surface of a pump room 2, and a seal member 1 for preventing leakage of a working fluid, is arranged in the communicating space 12.
