PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent projection of a tip of an operation handle outside a casing and wrong operation of a ball valve. SOLUTION: In a gas shut-off valve device 1 storing the ball valve 2 including a ball valve element 6 opening and closing a gas passage, and the operation handle 3 operating to open and close of the ball valve element 6 in the casing 4, the operation handle 3 does not project out from the casing 4 during operation and risk that a man hits against the operation handle 6 or the like is avoided since the operation handle 3 is provided in such a manner that an axial member 9 including an axis perpendicular to a cover body is rotated around an axial center. Since an open/close state of the ball valve element 6 can be distinguished based on which of a first and a second window part 14, 15 of the cover body 13 provided on the casing 4 the operation handle 6 can be visually confirmed through, the open/close state of the ball valve 2 is distinguished from a position of the operation handle 6 and wrong operation of the ball valve 2 is prevented.
