PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melon boxing apparatus capable of tilting a melon and easily putting the melon into a box without being disturbed by the stem on the melon even when the gap in a melon housing space formed in a box is narrow. SOLUTION: The boxing apparatus includes: a melon waiting portion 2 provided at an end part of a conveyor for conveying the melon B placed thereon with the stem positioned upward, an empty box waiting portion 3 installed next to the melon waiting portion 2, and a suction disk 4. The suction disk is configured to suck or release the melon B, reciprocate between a part above the melon waiting portion 2 and a part above the empty box waiting portion 3, and move up and down. A tilting device is provided for tilting the melon waiting portion 2 in a width direction.
