<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion circuit for preventing overvoltage with respect to a circuit designed at a power supply voltage level. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion circuit 10 includes a diode group 16, a DC unit 18 and an inverter circuit 20 from a power supply side. The DC unit 18 includes a reactor Lin for smoothing a DC voltage output from the diode group 16, and a smoothing capacitor Cdc for forming an LC smoothing circuit. A capacitor Css is connected closer to an AC power supply side than to the reactor Lin.
