PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the reliability of response and communication in a system wherein a control device is used to control one or more imaging apparatuses connected to a network. SOLUTION: The control device connected to one or more imaging apparatuses by wireless communication transmits a command indicating the start of a prescribed operation, to respective imaging apparatuses via wireless communication by multicasting or broadcasting in response to detection of an operation input indicating the start of the prescribed operation and transmits a command indicating the end of the prescribed operation, to respective imaging apparatuses via wireless communication by unicasting in response to detection of an operation input indicating the end of the prescribed operation. The control device confirms a response to transmission of the command indicating the end of the prescribed operation and retransmits the command indicating the end of the prescribed operation, to an imaging apparatus from which response cannot be confirmed, by unicasting.
