<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic functional material having excellent photocatalytic activity and visible-light responsiveness and also excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: The glass ceramic sintered compact is obtained through a vitrifying step of melting and vitrifying a raw material composition prepared so that the resultant vitreous body contains, by mole, 10-95% tungsten oxide component, and additionally contains 5-60% one or more kinds of components of P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>component, B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component, SiO<SB>2</SB>component and GeO<SB>2</SB>component expressed in terms of oxide to form the vitreous body; a pulverizing step of pulverizing the vitreous body to form pulverized glass; a molding step of molding the pulverized glass into a desired shaped molding; and a sintering step of heating and sintering the molding while forming the crystalline phase containing tungsten oxide and/or the solid solution thereof in the glass to form the glass ceramic sintered compact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
