<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a facsimile reception device, a method, and a program which can secure the quality of facsimile communication using the Internet network while keeping the tolerance of the fluctuation of a reception signal. <P>SOLUTION: A facsimile reception device 10 includes a threshold setting means 13 which sets a plurality of kinds of thresholds as a time in which a received packet signal can be stored in a buffer memory 11 in accordance with the length of a time to time-out of the received packet signal.
