PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly advise an alarm from a monitoring target, with respect to a monitoring device for monitoring the monitoring target installed at remote places. SOLUTION: The monitoring device which is connected to a network and monitors a plurality of monitoring target facilities, is equipped with: a failure detecting means for detecting a failure of a monitoring target facility; an operating state recording means for recording operating states of the monitoring target facilities; a daily report transmitting means for preparing data displaying daily operating states of the plurality of monitoring target facilities recorded by the operating state recording means and transmitting the data to a personal computer or cellular phone connected to the network by mail; and a trend data transmitting means for preparing trend data obtained by graphing a transition up to a failure detection of the monitoring target facility and related monitoring target facilities and transmitting the trend data to the personal computer or cellular phone connected to the network by mail when the failure detecting means detects a failure of the monitoring target facility.
