PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin receiving/discharging device which facilitates extraction of foreign matters, such as counterfeit coins stored in a reject box, other than coins determined to be genuine during conveyance. SOLUTION: The coin receiving/discharging device includes a reject box 53 having a bottom surface 53a for receiving counterfeit coins discharged from a reject hole 33a provided in a coin conveyance surface 31, a coin extraction hole 53b of a top surface opening for extraction of counterfeit coins, and a slope 53c gradually inclined upward from the bottom surface 53a in a direction from the bottom surface 53a to a position along the coin extraction hole 53b. When counterfeit coins stored in the reject box 53 are extracted, counterfeit coins stored in the reject box 53 can be easily extracted because the counterfeit coins can be extracted from the reject box 53 by only extracting the counterfeit coins from the bottom surface 53a toward the coin extraction hole 53b.
