PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic functional material having excellent photocatalytic activity. SOLUTION: Glass granular powder containing a crystal having photocatalytic characteristics and glass granular powder having a crystal having photocatalytic characteristics, formed in glass by heating are provided. The glass granular powder can contain, by mole, 10-95% at least one kind of WO<SB>3</SB>component and TiO<SB>2</SB>component and additionally contains 5-60% at least one or more kinds of P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>component, B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component, SiO<SB>2</SB>component and GeO<SB>2</SB>component expressed in terms of oxide.
