PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent not only the occurrence of wrinkles in forward carrying but also prevent the occurrence of wrinkles in rewinding. SOLUTION: This paper carrying device sends out and carries roll paper RP from a paper feeding roll 2a. The paper carrying device includes a register roller 13 for regulating sending-out of the roll paper RP, a register pressurizing roller 14 opposed to the register roller 13 and arranged in a plurality along the longitudinal direction of the register roller 13, and a pressurizing roller holding member for slantingly holding the register pressurizing roller 14 outward in the carrying direction of the roll paper RP by following in the carrying direction of the roll paper RP, and imparts carrying force to the roll paper by an inclination so as to become a divergent shape or a V shape in the carrying direction.
