<p>Disclosed is a method for producing an electrode active material for a secondary cell and containing a phosphoric acid compound containing NASICON lithium, said method being able to suppress an increase in in-container internal pressure resulting from the generation of volatile components in a pulverizing step. Further disclosed is a precursor of the electrode active material for a secondary cell. The method is for producing an electrode active material that is for a secondary cell and contains a phosphoric acid compound containing lithium having a NASICON backbone represented by M2(PO4)3 (wherein M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Al, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Zr, and Nb), and after a mixed powder that is the starting material of the electrode active material for a secondary cell is fired at a first temperature, the mixed powder is pulverized, and furthermore is fired at a second temperature that is higher than the first temperature. A first firing step contains a step for heating the mixed powder that is the starting material until volatile components are nearly completely eliminated.</p> |
