<p>1277746 Organostannic curing agents for epoxy resins GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 29 Aug 1969 [3 Sept 1968] 43197/69 Heading C3B A curing agent for epoxy resins having 1,2- epoxy groups and to be used in from 20 to 120 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight epoxy resin comprises the reaction product of an organostannic oxide, ester or halide of which the organo group is dialkyl, diaryl, or aryl with alkyl, and an organic acidic material which comprises a dicarboxylic acid, an aminofunctional or hydroxy functional carboxylic acid or an anhydride of one of the foregoing carboxylic acids, or mixtures of such organic acidic materials. Exemplified curing agents are the reaction products of dibutyltin oxide with (A) sebacic acid, (B) p-aminobenzoic acid, (C) p hydroxybenzoic acid, (D) "Nordic" (Trade Mark) Methyl Anhydride, and (E) as (D).</p> |
