PURPOSE: An electric power measuring device using a planar hole magnetic resistance device and a method thereof are provided to miniaturize the electric power measuring device, reduce manufacturing costs of electric power measuring device, and accuracy for measuring electric power. CONSTITUTION: A transformation device(110) transforms a high voltage into a low voltage based on a fixed ratio to generate a voltage with the first phase and outputs a current of the first phase based on the transformed voltage. A magnet generating device(130) includes a cylindrical coil shape and generates a magnetic field in response to a load current with the second phase. A magnetic device(140) is placed in a magnetic force generating device. The magnetic device receives an output current to a transformation device and outputs a voltage signal in proportional to strength of a magnetic field of the magnetic force generating device and strength of a current of the transformation device.
