<p>The present invention relates to the use of at least one set of peptides in composition and methods for modulating an immune response to one or more polypeptide antigens. In certain embodiments, the sequences of a respective set of peptides are derived in whole, or in part, from a single polypeptide antigen. Individual peptides of a respective peptide set comprise different portions of an amino acid sequence corresponding to a single polypeptide antigen and display partial sequence identity or similarity to at least one other peptide of the same set of peptides. The invention also extends to methods of using such peptides in a range of preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Additionally, the inventions relates to the use of uncultured antigen-presenting cells or their precursors, which have not been subjected to activating conditions, and which have been contacted with an antigen, in methods and compositions for modulating an immune response in a recipient of those cells.</p> |
