<p>Cationic complexes of formula ((A)xM(Z)y ) +x- (I) (where A is a neutral diene, esp. cyclopentadiene, cyclooctadiene (partic. 1,5-diene (A')) or norbornadiene; M is monovalent rh or Ir; Z is a ligand contg. a neutral mono- or divalent unit, excepting P- and/or As-contg. ligands, and esp. cnsists of MeCN, PhCH2CN, dimethyl or formamide or -sulphoxide, tert-butyl-NC or acetone; X is a monovalent anion gp.; x is 0, 1 or 2; y is 0, 1, 2 or 4 and x and y are such that sum of coordination positions occupied by A and Z is 4) catalyse disproportionation of dienes, hydrogenation of olefines and dienes and isomerisation of dienes and olefins. They are prepd. by reacting ((diene)M(AcAc)) with diene in presence of an electrophilic reagent, separating metal dienyl deriv. and opt. reacting with Z.</p> |
