An apparatus 1 for dispensing nutritional products tailored to an individual's needs comprises a number of storage hoppers 3 for powdered ingredients, each having a controllable outlet, such as an auger (33, figure 3) operable to release controlled amounts of the powdered ingredients. Also provided is a controllable liquid supply 11, a mixer 5 and a control system 9, including a user interface (21, figure 2) for capturing data from a user. The control system 9 uses the data that the user inputs to determine the quantity of each powdered ingredient and the quantity of liquid to be released to create a nutritional product, and sends signals to the liquid supply 11 and the outlets of the storage hoppers 3. The resultant mixture is dispensed into a container 15. A method of using such an apparatus is also disclosed. |
