Oral diuretic medicaments - contg polyols as osmotic diuretics

Oral medicaments contg. trimethylolethane, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, diglycerol, stereoisomers of 1,2,3-butanetriols and their mixts., trimethyleneglycol, 2,5-tetrahydrofurandicarbinol, 2-methylglycerol or 1,4-erythritane are osmotic diuretics which do not undergo undue metabolic changes and have no undesirable side-effects. The dosage ranges from 0.3-4.5 g/kg. pref. below 3 g/kg.
