PURPOSE: A generator system and a generation method are provided to easily obtain the rotation phase angle and rotation angular speed of a device for applying torque to the generator system. CONSTITUTION: A generator system comprises a permanent magnet synchronous machine(120), a generation current detector(126), and a phase determination unit. The permanent magnet synchronous machine converts torque into electric energy. The generation current detector detects one or more phases of generation currents of the permanent magnet synchronous machine. The phase determination unit analyzes the patterns of the detected generation currents. |
