METHOD FOR PRODUCING D-PINITOL USING TRANSFORMANT TRANSFORMED WITH VECTOR COMPRISING NUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCE ENCODING MYO-INOSITOL METHYLTRANSFERASE AND ONONITOL EPIMERASE

PURPOSE: A transformant obtained by a vector containing a nucleic acid molecule encoding myo-inositol methyltrasferase and ononitol epimerase is provided to cheaply produce a large amount of D-pinitol. CONSTITUTION: A transformant is obtained by transforming a host cell by a recombinant vector. The recombinant vector comprises: a nucleic acid molecule encoding myo-inositol methyltrasferase and a promoter which is operatively linked to the same. The other recombinant vector comprises: a nucleic acid molecule encoding ononitol epimerase and a promoter which is operatively linked to the same. A method for preparing D-pinitol comprises: a step of preparing the transformant; a step of culturing the transformant; and a step of collecting D-pinitol from the culture medium.
