PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applying device which can apply a large amount of a substance to be applied including not only a liquid but also a creamy liquid and a powdery cosmetic or medicine over a wide range as the need arises as well as over a limited small range, wherein it can be easily switched over between the ranges and the substance is prevented from being accidentally applied before use. SOLUTION: The applying device includes a container, an inner plug fitted into a container mouth, a hinged cap screwed with the container mouth, and an applying member mounted on the hinged cap. The inner plug includes a bottom wall with a through hole bored and a topped inner cylinder. The hinged cap includes a cap base having a pour-out cylinder standing on its upper wall and a passage open/close ring hanging, and an open/close lid having a communication tube hanging on its top wall to be engaged with the pour-out cylinder and having an attachment member for the applying member standing. The applying member includes an applying ball, and a holder comprising a holding wall for holding the ball with an opening bored at its lower end and an engaging member hanging from an intermediate portion of an outer periphery of the holding wall to be engaged with the attachment member of the open/close lid. |
