<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rail cover from obstructing a guide rail supporting, and to avoid interference of the rail cover with the guide rail. <P>SOLUTION: The platform door device is provided with the linear rail 27 provided projectingly toward a door body at a mating door side from a door end on respective door bodies 16; a belt member 38 provided projectingly toward the door body at a mating door side from the door end on the respective door bodies 16; a driving pulley 52 for transmitting driving force for openingly/closingly moving the door body 16 to the belt member 38; the rail cover 28 having a shape for covering the linear rail; a slide block 46 for slidably supporting the linear rail 27 in the rail cover 28; and a support member 48 for supporting the slide block 46 from below the rail cover 28.
