Storage device and method for storing blow moulds

The apparatus has a set of receiving elements (2) constructed and arranged to separately receive a set of individual blow molds (10). Each mold includes a set of parts for shaping plastic-material pre-forms into plastic-material containers, where the apparatus stores another set of blow molds outside a working operational area of a blow molding machine. The working operational area comprises a blow molding wheel (58) including a set of blow molding carriers (52), where a number of the receiving elements is greater than a number of the molding carriers. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing blow molds for shaping plastic-material preforms into plastic-material containers.
