PURPOSE: A sanitary absorbent article is provided, which improves liquid absorption and transfer function in the surface sheet. CONSTITUTION: A sanitary absorbent article comprises: a first surface sheet(210) which is made of liquid permeable non-woven fabric and in which an opening is formed; and a second surface sheet(210') which is made of material with faster absorption speed than that of the first surface sheet and is located in the opening. The opening is formed in the center area of the first surface sheet. The second surface sheet locates under the first surface sheet.
