PURPOSE: A method for preparing copper chloride is provided to transform wasted iron materials into electrolytic copper by transforming iron atom into copper atom based on a nuclear reaction method. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing copper chloride contains the following: An iron oxide is introduced into a reaction bath. A mixed solution of a ferrous chloride solution, a hydrochloric acid, and hydrochloride is sprayed toward the reaction bath. The solution of the reaction bath is stirred. The temperature of the reaction bath is maintained at 70 degrees Celsius or more. A chloride gas is sprayed, and cupric chloride is obtained.
