The detergents comprise (1) 10-75% of an active adjuvant consisting of one or more water-sol. salts of an alpha-sulphonated satd. fatty acid or a mixture of such acids contg. 14-20C atoms, alone or admixed with other active adjuvants; (2) 5-50% of a detergent, esp. an alkyl benzene sulphonate with 8-20C atoms in the alkyl gp., and (3) 0.2 - 20% of an alkali metal salt of a long chain fatty acid or a mixture of such acids, the remainder comprising the usual constituents of detergent compsns.
