PURPOSE: Copper alloy used for an electrode is provided to replace the conventional Cu-Be alloy by comprising Cu-Ni--Si-Cr-Ti alloy or Cu-Ni--Si-Cr-Zr alloy. CONSTITUTION: Copper alloy used for an electrode is composed of nickel of 2.0wt%-1.9wt%, silicon of 0.6wt%-0.4wt%, chrome of 0.8wt%-0.65wt%, titanium of 0.2wt%-0.3wt%, and copper of the remaining amount. The copper alloy is produced by injecting molten steel of 1200°C in a casting mold which is preheated to 260°C and successively carrying out homogenization, 40% cold rolling, solution treatment, pre-aging at 430°C for three hours, 40% cold rolling, and final aging at 420°C for 50 hours. |
