PURPOSE: A mobile terminal on Wi-Fi network and a method thereof are provided to selectively use Wibro network and Wi-Fi network for a data service based on a packet. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit includes mobile communication subscriber authentication information. An input unit(130) inputs a Wi-Fi network connection request or a connection release request from a user. A wireless communication unit(160) includes a WCDMA communication module, a Wibro communication module, and a Wi-Fi communication module. An access manager unit(150) controls the Wi-Fi communication module by using EAP-AKA(Extensible Authentication Protocol Method for 3rd Generation Authentication and Key Agreement).
