PURPOSE: A mobile disc device is provided to decode encoded authentication information, thereby authenticating an application program by the decoded authentication information. CONSTITUTION: A memory(130) comprises the first storage area storing an application program and the second storage area storing encoded authentication information for the application program and a key value. A controller(120) decodes the encoded authentication information using the key value when the controller is connected to a host to decode the encoded authentication information. The controller authenticates the application program stored in the first storage area according to the decoded authenticated information. The second storage area includes the first system area storing the key value and the second system area storing authentication information encoded for the application program. |
