DISK FILTER FOR CONTROLLING ROTATION SPEED OF A DRUM AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A disk filter controlling the rotary speed of a drum and a method for controlling the same are provided to increase the waste water processing capacitance of a disk filter by rapidly eliminating foreign materials attached to a filter unit. CONSTITUTION: The water level of waste water introduced into a drum is detected by a sensor(S410). If the detected water level is higher than a pre-set reference value, a nozzle sprays cleaning water(S420). When the nozzle sprays the cleaning water, a controlling signal changing the rotary speed of the drum is transmitted to the drum(S430). A controller controls the nozzle to spray the cleaning water and the drum to be rotated(S440). When the nozzle is stopped spraying the cleaning water, the rotary speed of the drum is controlled(S450).
