COLOR COATED GLASS TILE USING SOL-GEL PROCESSING

PURPOSE: A color coated glass tile using a sol-gel technique and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain various colors and patterns on the surface of glass by coating a transparent color solution synthesized based on the sol-gel technique. CONSTITUTION: Glass is located on a curved base plate. The glass is thermally treated at temperature between 400 and 850 degrees Celsius. A sol-gel transparent color solution is synthesized. The upper side of thermally treated glass is coated with the sol-get transparent color solution. The lower side of the thermally treated glass is coated with an opaque color pigment. The coated glass is thermally treated at temperature between 50 and 650 degrees Celsius.
