PURPOSE: A composition for porcelain enamel is provided to facilitate the washing of cooking appliance, to ensure endurance at a high temperature, and to prevent the denaturation caused by organic materials and alkali-based chemical components. CONSTITUTION: A composition for porcelain enamel comprises P2O5 24.8-32.3 weight%, SiO2 10.8-20.2 weight%, Al2O3 10.2-21.4 weight%, ZrO2 5.0-14.9 weight%, Na2O 9.0-20.8 weight%, K2O 5.0-15.2 weight%, Li2O 0.4-5.3 weight%, B2O3 1.0-10.0 weight%, ZnO 0.3-10.0 weight%, V2O5 0.9-10.0 weight%, and SnO 0.5-5.0 weight%. A cooking appliance(1) comprises a cavity(11) in which cavity is formed, a door(14) which selectively opens and closes the cavity, at least one heating source(13,15,16) providing the heat for cooking materials, and a coating layer.
