PURPOSE: An image content illegal copy tracing device of a digital set-top box is provided to conceal intrinsic information per digital set-top box by inserting the intrinsic information of the digital set-top box in image content. CONSTITUTION: A concealed information generating unit(102) performs message encoding of intrinsic information of corresponding digital set-top box. An IUIT(Illegal User Information Tracking) signal generating unit(104) generates unit IUIT pattern through a shuffling of a generated pseudo irregular signal. According to the size of an input image about the digital set-top box, the IUIT signal generating unit generates a IUIT signal through a filing of a generated unit IUIT pattern. According to a determining insertion intensity, an IUIT signal insertion uni(106) inserts the IUIT signal in an input image.
