PURPOSE: A method for controlling dehydration process is provided to vary the accelerating rate in order to reduce the noise level. CONSTITUTION: A control unit senses an eccentricity(S150). If the sensed eccentricity quantity is smaller than a first reference eccentricity quantity, the control unit compares the sensed eccentricity quantity with a second reference eccentricity quantity(S151,S153). If the sensed eccentricity quantity is larger than the first reference eccentricity quantity, the control unit repeats laundry weight sensing and laundry untwisting(S152). If the sensed eccentricity quantity is larger than the second reference eccentricity quantity, the control unit selects a first method(S153,S154). If the sensed eccentricity quantity is smaller than the second reference eccentricity quantity, the control unit selects a second method(S155).
