PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing scale is provided to prevent the surface defect of a rolled product by increasing scale removing efficiency through mechanical grinding. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing scale comprises a first grinding roll member(11), a second grinding roll member(12) and a support member(20). The first grinding roll member makes contact with the upper surface of a rolling material transferred to a rolling mill along a transfer rod and grinds the scale from the upper surface of the rolling material. The second grinding roll member is arranged on the lower part of the first grinding roll member, makes contact with the lower surface of the rolling material transferred to the rolling mill along the transfer rod and grinds the scale from the lower surface of the rolling material. The support member supports the rear end of a rolling material, which passes between the first and second grinding roll members.
