PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing the leading end of a hot-rolled thin strip from becoming deformed upwardly is provided to enhance driving performance since the leading end of a strip makes tight contact with a roller table. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing the leading end of a hot-rolled thin strip from becoming deformed upwardly comprises a pipe assembly(10), a blowing unit(20), and a control unit(30). The pipe assembly is installed on the upper part of a roller table(2) between a roll stand(1) and a pinch roll(3). The blowing unit sends air to the pipe assembly. The control unit controls the operation of the blowing unit. The blowing unit is a blower. The blowing unit comprises an air compressor, a high-pressure air tank, and a valve. The high-pressure air tank stores air pressure, which has been generated by the air compressor. The valve is installed on the outlet of the high-pressure air tank.
