PURPOSE: Ceramic balls for water-purification are provided to enable sanitary drink and use of tap water through action and adsorption of far infrared rays and to introduce a large amount of minerals to water. CONSTITUTION: Ceramic balls for water-purification comprise 20-60 weight% of processing loess powder, 10-60 weight% of pozzolan, 10-30 weight% of tourmaline powder, and 2-10 weight% of oyster shell powder. A method for preparing the ceramic balls comprises the steps of: kneading a composition consisting of 20-60 weight% of processing loess powder, 10-60 weight% of pozzolan, 10-30 weight% of tourmaline powder, and 2-10 weight% of oyster shell powder with water to obtain a mixture; molding the mixture in a ball shape of 5-10mm size; drying the molded balls at 100-120°C for 6-8 hours and solidifying them; and plasticizing the solidified balls at 850-1,100°C.
