PURPOSE: A method for processing a broadcast signal in a digital broadcasting transmitter/receiver is provided to process only a desired section. CONSTITUTION: If two source identifications are not identical to each other, a received channel ETT(Extended Text Table) section is discarded(S140). If the two source identifications are identical, the received ETT section out is detected(S150). The detected ETT section is filtered(S160). The filtered ETT section is parsed(S170). An ETM(Extended Text Message) identification as an actual section data of the parsed ETT is extracted(S180). The extracted ETM identification is stored to a DB(S190).
