PURPOSE: An apparatus for recording a location where a user loses an object and a method thereof are provided to enable the user to easily find a lost object by recognizing and recording the loss of a specific object. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(210) communicates with a communication tag. A communication tag loss judgment unit(220) decides whether the communication tag is lost or not based on the strength of the received signal from the communication tag. If the communication tag is lost, a location acquisition unit(230) extracts a location of the loss judgment unit at the loss determination point of time. A loss location record unit(240) records the lost location based on the strength of the received signal from the communication tag.
