The suction element (1) has an electromagnet (10) comprising a winding (11), and a support piece (12) for supporting the winding. The piece comprises a magnetic circuit (13) for canalizing a magnetic field generated by the winding when electric current passes through the winding. A pole piece (20) moves relative to the electromagnet until the pole piece is pressed against the support piece under the action of magnetic field. Electric sensors i.e. capacitive electrodes (30, 40), detect a position of the pole piece with respect to the electromagnet, and are secured to the support piece.
