PURPOSE: A conversion process between a ziegler-natta catalyst system and a metallocene catalyst system is provided to predict gel formation problem that can be generated in a conversion process of an immiscible catalyst and to prevent the contamination of reaction products and polymer particles within a fluidized layer. CONSTITUTION: A process for converting olefin polymerization using a conventional ziegler-natta catalyst system into olefin polymerization using a metallocene catalyst system comprises the steps of: (a) stopping the injection of a first catalyst; (b) injecting an inactivating agent; (c) confirming inactivation of the first catalyst by sampling the polymer in a reactor, wherein, if the deactivation of the first catalyst is identified, moving to (d) step, and if the residual of the first catalyst with activity is identified, moving to (b) step; (d) removing the inactivating agent; (e) confirming the reactivation of the first catalyst by sampling the polymer in the reactor, if the reactivation of the first catalyst is not identified, moving to (f) step, and if the reactivation of the first catalyst is identified, moving to (b) step; (f) controlling a gas-phase composition according to the operation conditions of the second catalyst; (g) introducing the second catalyst into the reactor; and (h) determining the success of a conversion process from the polymerization discharge material after the injection of the second catalyst. |
