<p>PURPOSE: An input device and a touch point detecting method thereof are provided to rapidly detect the coordinates on actual contact points even though a ghost pattern exists in the recognition of multi-touch points. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel(20) includes first and second patterns which are perpendicular to each other. If an object contacts the contact point on the touch panel, a touch sensor(10) receives first and second contact signals to calculate first and second coordinates. If the object contacts at least two touch points after a certain time, the touch sensor receives first and second touch signals to generate third and fourth coordinates. If one of the third coordinates and one of the fourth coordinates are respectively different from the first and second coordinates, the touch sensor unit detects the coordinates the actual contact points by using the first and second coordinates.</p> |
