PURPOSE: A method for providing vehicle information and a terminal device applying the same are provided to receive information related to a vehicle based on the received position information. CONSTITUTION: In a method for providing vehicle information and a terminal device applying the same, a GPS is installed in vehicles. A terminal is connected to the GPS(S320). The terminal receives location information from the GPS(S330). The terminal receives vehicle-related information from a vehicle information system. A destination is set according to the manipulation of a user(S360).
