PURPOSE: A device for reducing the noise of a brake is provided to absorb the collision energy in spite of the friction between a brake shoe and a back plate by using a spring and rubber member. CONSTITUTION: A device for reducing the noise of a brake comprises a back plate(50), a brake shoe(30), and a shoe rim(31). The back plate is combined in the axle of a vehicle. A hold-down spring is arranged in the front side of the back plate to be separated and is restored by the elastic restoring force. A plurality of shoe rims is arranged on the table side of two brake shoes and is touched with the back plate. A shock-absorbing unit absorbing the collision energy is installed on the contact area of the back plate with a shoe rim. The shock-absorbing unit is installed between the brake shoe and the back plate. The shock-absorbing unit is composed of elastic member(20) having the elastic force. The elastic member is arranged in the part in which one part is contacted with a contact unit(52) formed in the brake shoe and the back plate.
