PURPOSE: A cross section excavating and repairing device of self-propelled type is provided to prevent the rotating stop of a digging head due to overload or front obstacles by sensing and decreasing the running speed and rotating speed of the head. CONSTITUTION: A cross section excavating and repairing device of self-propelled type comprises a traveling cart(10), a rotary shaft(254), a shaft rotating unit, a digging head(271), and an excavating head control member(40). The traveling cart has a driving wheel(21) and a driving member. The rotary shaft is installed in the front of the traveling cart. The shaft rotating unit rotates the rotary shaft. A plurality of unit heads(272) of the digging head is arranged based on the center of the rotary shaft in a radial direction. One end of the unit head is connected to end of the rotary shaft with a hinge, and the unit head gets folded and unfolded toward the rotary shaft.
