PURPOSE: A bar for a roof carrier, capable of maintaining tensile strength and load strength and reducing thickness, is provided to maintain uniform strength against external force and to prevent the deformation by external force. CONSTITUTION: A bar for a roof carrier comprises a hollow pipe. The bar for the roof carrier is manufactured using an extrusion mode. The bar for the roof carrier comprises a plurality of ribs and grooves. A plurality of ribs is formed in the inner side of the bar along a vertical direction. A plurality of grooves is formed on the cross section of the hollow pipe along the longitudinal direction.
