PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for disassembling a secondary battery case are provided to ensure minute automatic disassembly, to improve effectiveness of work, and to reduce work time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for disassembling a secondary battery case comprises: a base(110) installed at a frame(101) so that an object case(10) is located; a position fixing unit for fixing the position of the case on the base; and a wheel cutter(120) which is rotatably installed to cut the case by injecting the cutter as the thickness of the case while going round the circumference of the case.
