The cover (1) has a gripping tab (2) constituted by a support layer (3) and a sealing layer (4), where the support layer is connected to the sealing layer in a detachable manner. The sealing layer includes weakness lines (5) placed in a zone of the gripping tab and defining a bulged zone (6) with an accretion sealing resistance. The sealing layer is soldered at an edge (15) of a container, and the support layer is made of a single material i.e. aluminum. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cover.
